Gabriela Lage Montero is an architect / urban planner, graduated in 2019 from CUJAE, focused in urban design oriented to sustainable living modes. In 2021 she joined the team of the international forum ‘Our City Our Space’, a debate space with the aim of broadening the discussion to address community-based strategies. Defender of cycling as an alternative means of transportation in cities, she is now the Havana’s Bicycle Mayor and has collaborated in pro-bike activities with non-profit projects such as Tercer Paraíso, Cuba 8, institutions such as the General Directorate of Transport of Havana, the Office of the Historian of the City and the Faculty Latinamerican of Social Sciences. She collaborates with Citykleta -a business with social impact- since 2020 to generate changes from the citizenry. She participated in the II Forum and in the Scenario Definition Workshop for the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for Havana.
