“Designing my neighborhood” workshop began in Los Pocitos
The workshop “Designing my neighborhood” began today in Los Pocitos. This collaboration between the Akokán Project (@akokancuba), the GAÏA Project (@proyectogaiávida) and Placemaking-Cuba aims to accompany the children of this Havana locality in the design of their dream neighborhood.
As part of the initiative, design, spatiality and environmental education tools were taught.
During the first meeting held this Saturday, the children of Los Pocitos identified their favorite places in the neighborhood, as well as the activities they like to do in these places. They also identified activities that they like to do, but lack a physical place in the community where they can do them.
